How to add a Lightbox effect to the gallery

What is a Lightbox effect

LightBox is a beautiful special effect which allows you to overlay images on the thumbnails page. It uses a simple, unobtrusive JavaScript and works on all modern browsers. Click here to see a sample gallery which uses the Lightbox effect.

Adding Lightbox effect to the gallery

To add a Lightbox effect to the photo gallery you have to open your project options and select the Thumbnails tab. In the Thumbnail link section check the Link thumbnails directly to images box and in the Open link in drop-down list select LightBox (JavaScript effect).

Add Lightbox effect to photo gallery

Please note that it is not recommended to use Lightbox effect in galleries that use HTML frames (or i-frames).
