Extreme Thumbnail Generator. User interface. Step 2.

Step 2. The gallery

On the second step you can specify the details about the image gallery and select the gallery template.

Step 2. The gallery.
Gallery title

When the new project is created the gallery title is set to "Untitled". You should change this value to your actual gallery title. By default the gallery title appears in the <TITLE> tag of all generated pages and at the top of all index pages. You can also set the font of gallery title clicking the button.

Destination folder

This is the folder where all generated pages and images are stored. You can select the destination folder using the button or type it manually. The button deletes ALL files from the destination folder.

When generating the gallery Extreme Thumbnail Generator creates the following subfolders in the destination folder:

  • images - contains all original images and the thumbnail images

  • pages - contains all image pages

  • sysimages - contains all template images

Gallery template

Gallery template defines what your image gallery or web photo album will look like. When you select a template a small preview of your future gallery is displayed to the right of the template list. One more thing to notice here. If you have modified some project options and after that returned one step back and selected another gallery template - all settings are reset to template defaults.

Edit template... button opens the currently selected gallery template in the Template editor where you can easily modify the template.

Image overwrite mode

One of the first things Extreme Thumbnail Generator does when generating a gallery is copying original images into the destination folder. If it meets the file that already exists in the destination folder it will react depending on the image overwrite mode:

  • Ask - Image overwrite confirmation dialog appears to let you decide what to do with the files

  • Overwrite - The existing file is replaced with the new one

  • Auto rename - The new file is automatically renamed using the Auto rename prefix
