Extreme Thumbnail Generator. User interface. Step 1.

Step 1. Image list

The first step you have to take to create a great image gallery or web photo album using Extreme Thumbnail Generator is adding images to the project and arranging them in the desired order.

Step 1. Image list.

There are several ways of adding images to the list. You can add individual images or all images from the selected folder (including subfolders, if you want).

  • Add individual images

    • Using the button

    • Using the Images | Add images | Images menu item

    • Using the Add images... item of the right-click menu of the image list

  • Add all images in the folder

    • Using the button

    • Using the Images | Add images | Folder menu item

    • Using the Add folder... item of the right-click menu of the image list

  • Or you can simply drag and drop files and folders from the Windows Explorer right into the image list.

Each time you select an image in the image list it's preview is displayed in the preview window to the right of the image list. If you do not want to see the preview, you can uncheck the Show preview checkbox.

Removing images from the list is also very easy:

  • Using the button or menu item Images | Remove images | Selected images you can remove all selected images from image list.

  • Using the button or menu item Images | Remove images | Clear image list you can remove all images from the image list.

After you've added all necessary images you can arrange them in the desired order:

  • Using the button or menu item Images | Move images up you can move all selected images up (towards the beginning of the list).

  • Using the button or menu item Images | Move images down you can move all selected images down (towards the end of the list).

  • Using the button or menu item Images | Rotate selected images counterclockwise you can rotate all selected images 90 degrees counterclockwise.

  • Using the button or menu item Images | Rotate selected images clockwise you can rotate all selected images 90 degrees clockwise.

  • Or you can sort the image list using the popup menu of the button or menu item Images | Sort image list.

Using the button you can add image effects, such as, brightness, contrast, blur, emboss and so on, to a selected image or to all images in the current project.

You can also specify the individual description for each image. Simply select the image in the image list and type anything you want in the Image description field under the image list. If there are several images selected in the image list the description will be entered for the image which is displayed in the preview window. Pressing the Enter key (or Down Arrow key) in the Image description field will select the next image in the image list. Pressing the Up Arrow key will select the previous image in the image list.
