Image format settings


If you choose to add some effects to your images, or resize them to fit in the page, or add overlay text or logo image - your images will be converted into JPEG format and saved using the JPEG quality and resize filter you specify in this dialog.

JPEG quality

JPEG image quality can by any number from 1 to 100. 1 means the worst quality and the smallest file size, while 100 means the best quality and the biggest file size.

Resize filter

You can select different image resize filters to obtain different image quality. Also different filtes are applied with different speed, so it's up to you to choose between quality and speed. Extreme Thumbnail Generator offers the following image resize filters:

  • Nearest - fastest, average quality

  • Linear - fast, average quality

  • Spline - slow, average quality

  • Lanczos - slowest, best quality

  • Mitchell - slow, good quality
