Main program window

The main window of Extreme Picture Finder consists of several important parts. Please take a look at the picture below to see all of them.

Main program window

Main menu

The Main program menu contains all the commands available in the program. Commands may be disabled or enabled depending on program status and on what is currently selected in main window. Some menu commands are available on the Toolbar, and corresponding right-click menus.

Toolbar

The toolbar is located under the main menu. It provides buttons that work as shortcuts for frequently used menu commands. If the button is gray then the command is disabled at this time.

Projects Tree

The Projects Tree displays all Download Projects. Selecting a project in this tree displays the content of Project's Destination folder in the List of Files and Folders Tree.

Searches List

The Searches List displays all Searches in alphabetical order. Selecting a Search in this list displays all downloaded images in the List of Files.

List of Files

The List of Files displays all files in the selected folder. It has tree view modes: List, Details and Thumbnails. You can easily switch between the modes using main menu commands or keyboard shortcuts. In the Details view mode you can select which columns to display using menu command View | Manage file list columns....

You can also manipulate files in the List of Files, which allows you to copy, move or delete all selected files at a time. When the file is selected its preview is displayed in the Preview area if it is an image. Double-clicking a file in the List will open it using the associated program or the built-in picture viewer.

Folders Tree

The Folders Tree displays all folders located under the Destination folder of the selected Download Project. You can easily manipulate folders in this tree using the Main menu commands or the right-click menu.

The Folders Tree is not available when you are viewing the Search results.

Preview

In the Preview area you can see the preview of the selected file. If the file is an image, then its preview is shown in this area. If it is not an image, or the image file is invalid, then only the file icon is displayed.

If the List of Files contains the Search results, then all related image file names (if any) are displayed as buttons on the Preview area caption. Clicking one of these buttons will show the corresponding image in the Preview area.

You can easily hide and restore the Preview using the View | Preview menu command or the Hide / Resore button.

Monitor

The Monitor allows you to watch the files as they are downloaded by Extreme Picture Finder, with their address, state, download speed and other parameters. You can stop the download of any address using the Menitor's right-click menu.

You can easily hide and restore the Monitor using the View | Monitor menu command or the Hide / Resore button.
